The pace of modern life appears to be increasing.  We have to do everything in the shortest possible time, and we demand immediate gratification in all aspects of our lives.

There are times and places when, traditionally, we expected to be quiet, move slowly and find time for contemplation.  Museums, art galleries and places of worship are typical.

Now, it seems, we rush through these as well.  Works of art, pieces of our history and beautiful buildings deserve time to be appreciated.  Just what is the hurry?
