I was privileged to be allowed access to a modern Dairy Farm in East Devon.  It used the minimum of human interaction.  The cows stayed indoors, but had free access to food, rest areas, and the milking machine.  Milk yield was increased by about 25%.
I was fascinated by how calm, content and relaxed the cows were.  Hopefully these monochrome images show that. 
Why mono?  Because the cows were mono!
